History
Tropical Cyclone Seth developed from a tropical low that had initially moved toward the Queensland coast but made landfall before it could strengthen significantly. The system subsequently moved into the Coral Sea, where it organised further and reached its peak intensity during the 2021–22 Australian region cyclone season. According to available records, Seth achieved winds of approximately 70 mph at its peak while tracking through the Coral Sea. The cyclone formed as part of a notably active period for tropical lows in the Australian region, despite the overall season being rated slightly below average in terms of named cyclone activity. Seth dissipated without making a significant second landfall, and its passage was relatively brief. Shortly after Seth's dissipation, Tropical Low 10U rapidly developed in the same general area and was subsequently named Tiffany, which went on to make landfall over northern Queensland as a Category 1-equivalent system. Seth's overall impact on land and any associated casualties or damage were not substantial enough to feature prominently in post-season assessments, with the storm's significance lying primarily in its formation history as a Coral Sea system during the 2021–22 season.
